HIGHLIGHTS

  • Tsomgo lake surface reflects different colours with change of seasons and is held in great reverence by the local Sikkimese people. Buddhist monks prognosticated after studying the changing colours of the lake.
  • Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world and in India, at an elevation of 5,430 m according to the Government of Sikkim. It is located in the Great Himalayas in the Mangan District in Indian state of Sikkim, and considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus.
  • Yumthang valley is popularly known as 'Valley of Flowers' and is home to the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, which has over twenty-four species of the rhododendron, the state flower. The flowering season is from late February and to mid-June, when countless flowers bloom to carpet the valley in multicolored hues of rainbow.
  • Zero Point also known as Yume Samdong, Zero Point stands at an altitude of 15,300 ft above mean sea level. It happens to be the last outpost of civilization and the place where three rivers meet amid a panoramic view of snow-clad mountains and picturesque surroundings.
  • Bhim Nala Falls is a gorgeous waterfalls situated at Khedum village near Lachung in North Sikkim. This is one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim and among the popular places to visit in Lachung. Located on Chungthang - Lachung road, Bhim Nala Waterfalls is also called Amitabh Bachchan falls due to its height.
OVERVIEW
  • Located in the lap of mother nature, Gangtok is the centre of tourism, education and business. It is the largest town of Sikkim and the centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Gangtok is known for its irresistible scenic beauty with several tourist places such as monasteries, historical places, wildlife sanctuaries, parks and lakes and falls.
  • Lachen is a serene mountain hamlet situated in the North Sikkim. Tucked midst the Skyscraping Mountains, Lachen is perched at an altitude of 2750mt. Secluded far from the hassle of bustling town Lachen has been a perfect place to find solace. It even acts as a base for travelers visiting Gurudongmar Lakeand Chopta Valley.
  • Perched at an altitude of around 8,858 ft, Lachung is a small hill town in North Sikkim. It is situated in a deep valley on the rugged bank of the Lachung River (a tributary of the Tista River) at the foothills of the Himalayas. Also referred to as Small Pass, it lies near the Tibetan border (China).
  • Bagdogra Airport/ Siliguri to Gangtok.
    After arrival at Bagdogra Airport/ Siliguri our driver will pick you up and move ahead to Gangtok which is the capital city of Sikkim. It takes 4-5 hours a journey. After reaching check in at the hotel. Evening you can have a leisure time at MG road. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • Gangtok to Lachen Transfer
    Morning after breakfast you will be transfer towards Chungthang which takes 5-6 hours a journey. Lunch at Chungthang. You will reach Lachen in the evening. Thangu is the major attraction as its valley is surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peak mountains and the starting point of Green Lake trek. In fact, the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards. En-route visit Singhik Viewpoint, Seven Sister Falls, Naga Falls. Evening free to stoll and visit the nearby Lepcha village. Overnight stay at Lachen.  
  • Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake.
    Morning after breakfast drive towards Gurudongmar Lake which takes 2-3 hours a journey. It’s a valley at an altitude of 17,800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as Holy/ Sacred Lake. After lunch drive to Lachung – The region is fully covered with Rhododendron Forest with Chopta valley and Thangu are other places of interest. After reaching check in to the hotel. Evening you have free time to visit Lachung Monastery. Overnight stay at Lachung. 
  • Visit Yumthang Valley & back to Gangtok.
    Morning after breakfast you will be ahead for Yumthang which situated at an elevation of 11,700 feet. It is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. Moreover, after taking permits and paying extra vehicle charges you can visit Zero Point which is at an altitude of 15,300 feet above sea level. The name Zero Point refer because after this there is no motorable road and moreover there will be China border. After lunch you will drive back to Gangtok. Reaching Gangtok in the evening check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.
    Morning after breakfast and permit valid you will move ahead Tsomgo lake and Baba Mandir which also is dedicated to Baba Harbajan Singh who was a soldier in Indian Army. Later if there is no issue related with weather condition and permit issue then you can visit Nathula Pass which is also closed to China border.
  • Departure Day- Bagdogra Airport/ Siliguri.
    Morning after breakfast transfer to Bagdogra Airport/ Siliguri which takes 5-6 hours a journey.
